We are pleased to offer several room options for you this year. Rates are as follows:
$139 – *Grand Sandestin – 1 bedroom (hotel)
$159 - *Grand Sandestin – 1 bedroom condo
$209 – *Grand Sandestin – 2 bedroom condo
$ 259 - *Grand Sandestin – 3 bedroom condo
* Accommodations are in the Grand, Lasata, Bahia and Elation facilities, located adjacent to the Baytowne Conference Center, the site of Conference activities (see www.Sandestin.com) Hotel rooms have a small kitchenette. 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units have a full kitchen, spacious living room, and a washer and dryer.
Many of you will want to take advantage of the room varieties, as it is often in the past that many have requested 2-3 bedroom accommodations and we’ve not been able to provide them.
NOTE: As with our conference in 2008, please remember that there is a one night, non-refundable deposit required for booking in the AWS conference rate.

2009 Conference Location Announced!
The 2009 National Conference will be held in Destin, Florida! A charming town in the panhandle, Gulf-of-Mexico area of Florida! Destin is home of one of the newest and already one of the largest wine festivals in the Southeast: the Sandestin Wine Festival. This community LOVES wine and they are very eager to welcome the American Wine Society and its members to their beautiful area.
Mark your calendars for November 5-7, 2009! The official hotel name and reservation information will be announced in February! In addition, many details about Destin and the surrounding area will be featured in an upcoming article in the Wine Journal. Stay tuned!

NATIONAL CONFERENCE WAS SUPERB!
The 2008 National Conference held last week, November 6-8 in Sacramento was a resounding success! Nearly 500 AWS members and fellow wine enthusiasts were present to attend phenomenal wine education sessions, as well as interface with some of the most renowned wine makers and winery owners in the business today.
Additional post-conference follow up and photos will be posted on this site in two weeks. In addition, there will be a feature story and photos of the national conference in both the AWS News and Wine Journal. Thank you to all attendees, wine donors, sponsors, volunteers and staff members who made this conference one of the best ever!
